Recently I watched a newscast about a group of senators pushing for partial-birth abortion. While listening to the sickening dialog, I felt something inside, and was compelled to write the following.
If you are not familiar with partial-birth abortion, it goes like this: During the birthing, when the baby’s head protrudes from the mother’s womb, a doctor will take a surgical instrument shaped like a knife and press it into the back of the baby’s skull, killing the baby.
I have seen a simulation of this procedure on TV, and it was as sickening, if not more so, than the abortion clinics throwing aborted pre-birth babies ("fetuses" as some call them) into garbage cans.
Now you may ask "what kind of people can do such a thing?" And I will further ask, "what kind of people would pass a law to allow people to do such a thing?" And "what kind of people would work in a clinic that would do this?" And ultimately, "what kind of people would have this done to their own children?"
How does one vote on a bill, or elect an official, that would allow themselves and others, to kill their own children? Well, there were 33 senators who voted for this. There was also a recent presidential candidate, who lost by a very narrow margin, who was pushing for partial-birth abortion in his platform.
This is not a matter of people’s rights or civil liberties, as some would say. This is a matter of a world gone insane. If you think your baby is retarded or deformed in some way, does that make the baby any less of a life? Any less human?
God doesn’t play favorites. He loves the unborn baby as much as a normal, full-grown human. Why cant we love that baby the same way? If you want information on where the Bible stands on abortion, click here or go to our Articles and Essays section for the article about abortion.
Have you ever voted for a politician who pushed for pro-abortion bills that allow others to stick knives through the heads of babies, or to use a vacuum to suck an unborn baby out of its mother’s womb? Are we not responsible for the acts of the people we vote for?
Do you think because this politician might give you a better economy that the money would be more valuable than an unborn child’s life?
Be careful who you vote for. Do not be an abettor to murder because you think this politician will do much more for you than the other guy. Sometimes you might have to vote for someone outside of the political party that you typically vote for in order to get an anti-abortion candidate. Isn’t that better than participating in the abortion of unborn children?
Know where the politicians stand on abortion. Abortion is the biggest sin this country has ever committed. There is nothing more sinful, more insane, than people killing their own children, and its just as evil to pass bills making it legal to do so.
Do not let yourself be swayed by TV talk-show hosts, movie actors, politicians or any of these so called "beautiful people" that preach pro-abortion. Their cheap views on the value of life are wrong, no matter how famous, grand, or influential they think they are. Every one of them, just like every one of us, will have to answer for their sins. All will be judged by God.
But what about those of us who did have an abortion, or did vote for a pro-abortion candidate? Read Matthew 18:6-7. If you are truly sorry, the Bible gives hope, and Jesus grants forgiveness.
Christ forgives everything for people who repent and believe in Him. If you do not want your life to end with this sin, or any other sin, hanging over your head, take a few minutes to clear your mind, and then accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. It’s easy to do, confess your sins to Jesus and ask Jesus to forgive you. Jesus can wipe clean all your sins.
"Jesus, I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of every sin I have ever committed throughout my life. I know you are the Son of God, and I need You Jesus, to guide me through my life. Come into my life Jesus, and guide me and make me one of your own."
If you ask Jesus to come into your life, if you turn your life over to Jesus, how about emailing us and telling us the good news. Now, I give you a challenge. Send this article to your friends, relatives etc. Send it to everybody on your mailing list, and give them the same opportunity to become one of Christ’s family, as you have.
God Bless you.
