All Christians, whether we know it or not, have four birthdays. All of us know the date of one, most know the date of another, very few know the date of another, and nobody knows the date of the last.
Our first birthday is the day of conception. Few people know this date. As we read through the Bible, God considers us to be men and women at the moment of conception (Read our article on Abortion). We are not insects, vegetables, things, or whatever these so called rights groups and courts want to call a baby in the mother’s womb. We are living human beings, and we all have eternal life from that moment on. We will spend the first few years of that eternal life here on earth, and it is up to us as to where we will be spending the rest of eternity.
The second birthday is the day we leave our mother’s womb, the day we say hello to the world, and the day we celebrate as our annual birthday. Everybody knows this date.
The third birthday is the day you are Baptized, or saved, or turn your life over to Christ. Whatever you want to call it, it is the day we have renewed our life with Christ, the day we die in the flesh and are born in the Spirit. No matter what age we are this day, it is the most important day of our earthly life. There will be one big party going on in Heaven, angels will rejoice on your third birthday. Most of us, I believe, will know this date.
The fourth birthday is actually our death, and the day we pass from here, to eternity. And our decisions in this life can affect whether we will be spending eternity in Heaven or Hell.
So, as we age, and especially after the third birthday, its a good idea to stick to a God-fearing church and lifestyle, and read the Bible daily, to know the difference between right and wrong. To be prepared and ready for that forth and last birthday, It’s the one we do not know the date of. Keep yourself dressed and ready, and have your bags packed (so to speak) for a trip to meet your maker at any time, and celebrate the biggest party of your eternal life.
And a warning to all abortionists and people who believe in abortion: Do not terminate the life of a man or woman between their first and second birthdays. If you do this act, and do not repent, your final birthday will be a disaster.
