The Blood of Jesus has more power than anything on earth. The blood of animals that were sacrificed in the Old Testament had great power, but did not compare to Christ's Blood - the sacrifice of the New Testament. Some of the following is taken from Benny Hinn’s web site and his book "The Blood".
In Leviticus 14:14 it states, "Then the Priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering (which was a sacrificed lamb) and put it on the tip of the man’s right ear, the thumb of his right hand, and the big toe of his right foot." Pastor Benny Hinn describes this as representing the applying of blood to cover every aspect of our daily life. Blood applied to our hearing (ear), to our work (thumb), and to our walk (foot).
In Exodus 12:13, Lamb’s blood was applied to houses in Egypt, to mark the houses of the Jews, so the Lord would "Passover" these houses when He struck Egypt during the 10th plague.
If the blood of an animal could protect families then - how much more can the Blood of Christ protect us today?
When Adam and Eve had run from God, they were naked and ashamed, attempting to cover themselves with leaves. This is when God selected some animals, perhaps lambs, killed them and used their skins to cover Adam and Eve (Gen 3:21). These skins might still have been moist with blood.
Please note: God's first sacrifice covered the sins of Adam and Eve, at the expense of the blood of animals. His final sacrifice covered you and me with the Blood of His only begotten Son.
The Blood of Jesus can protect you from any attack from Satan. When you pray for your family, pray to have them covered with the Blood of Christ. Pray:
"Lord, I cover myself and everyone around me with the Blood of Jesus. I cover all members of my family (call them by name) with the Blood of Jesus. I cover my relatives with the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I call forth in the name of Jesus all of God’s plans and purposes for me and my family. As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord. Satan, the Blood of Jesus is against you, and you have no authority over my life."
Pray daily - to have your family and yourself protected by the precious Blood of Jesus.
